Sarah and Matt were married at the Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort proving that an autumn beach wedding is completely possible. Fall is a beautiful time of year to tie the knot – there isn’t likely to be snow if you’re married in the early fall, and we’re past the threat of thunderstorms that come to the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the late summer.
Sarah and Matt incorporated the essence of autumn in to their Lake Tahoe destination wedding, choosing a color palette of deep to bright oranges, ivory and pale grey. The groom and his men looked dapper in grey suits accented with oranges roses. The bridesmaids stunned in simple grey fit-and flare gowns and delicate diamond pendants. The bride chose a timeless gown of ivory lace and a simply elegant veil with a gold satin sash. Her shoes were understated and classic, featuring ivory silk and diamond broaches. The groom chose a clean platinum band, which complimented the bride’s diamond encrusted wedding ring.
Despite the time of year, the couple chose to marry on the beach. Deep orange rose petals lined the isle, which reflected the orange roses carried by the bridesmaids and the boutonnieres of the groom and his men. The natural autumn light bathed the wedding party in soft gold hues as Sarah and Matt said, “I do.” The wedding party spent some time with us to capture some traditional, and some silly moments.
The reception was held indoors as the autumn night began to cool. The colors of fall were apparent, as orange roses sat atop an ivory and deep brown tiered wedding cake and graced the center of each table. Ivory candles cast the guests in their warm glow, as they unwrapped their s’more kits and made their way to the bonfire as the bride and groom drank campaign out of their engraved glasses.
As the sun set over Lake Tahoe, Sarah and Matt strolled along the beach under the fading golden light, content in this quiet moment together. Congratulations Sarah and Matt, we’re excited to see how your life together unfolds.
